Archeologist Alf Tore Hommedal&#8217;s talk, in Norwegian, is entitled \u201c A visit to the Middle Age monasteries in Bergen\u201d &amp; is the parish&#8217;s contribution to Bergen&#8217;s 950 year jubilee this year. Entrance is kr.30.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The high school group Bergen young Catholics starts up again on Thursday 23<sup>rd<\/sup> January at 5 pm. David Ottesen will lead\u00a0 prayers, to be followed by a Game Show, food &amp; finally mass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also on 23<sup>rd<\/sup> January there will be an ecumenical service at 7.30 pm in Bishopshavn church. Our parish priest will taken part &amp; give a sermon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sunday 26<sup>th<\/sup> January we celebrate the conversion of St. Paul, patron saint of our parish. The celebration begins with high mass at 11 am &amp; continues afterwards in the school gym hall with entertainment, raffles &amp; food from around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The parish is\narranging a children&#8217;s weekend for children in 4<sup>th<\/sup> to 7<sup>th<\/sup>\nclass from 14<sup>th<\/sup> to 16th February. Brochures are available at the\nback of the church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thank you for all\nthe money raised at the Christmas market &amp; during all masses at Christmas.\nThe Christmas market alone took in 27,0000 kr.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Norges Unge Katolikker (NUK)\u00a0 would also like to say thank you for the 14,000 kr. collected during their Advent campaign.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Katolsk forum begins again on Tuesday 21th January at 7.45 pm in the school staff room.
