We also celebrate that it is 1000 years since St. Olav brought Christianity to Norway. There will be vespers at 6. 30pm &amp; high mass at 7 pm followed by a gathering in the crypt, with refreshments. All are welcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sunday 27<sup>th<\/sup> October there will be Portuguese mass at Marias Minde at 3pm followed by church coffee. Before mass, from 2pm, it will be possible to go to confession in Portuguese in the chapel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anyone wanting to be married in the Catholic church must complete a preparation course. This autumn&#8217;s marriage course starts on Monday 21<sup>st<\/sup> October from 6 to 8 pm in the school staff room &amp; will continue the following 4 Mondays. Enrolment at the parish office or to one of the priests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The parish office will be\u00a0closed on Thursday 17<sup>th<\/sup> &amp; Friday 18<sup>th<\/sup> October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thursday 31<sup>th<\/sup> October is All Saints day. Children, young people &amp; adults are invited to dress up as their favourite saint.&nbsp; Begin now to plan your costume.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The closing date for applicants to St Paul school, both 1<sup>st<\/sup> &amp; 8<sup>th<\/sup> class, is 15<sup>th<\/sup> November.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Wednesday 16th October we celebrate the memorial of the baptism of St. Olav.
