Gunnar Solheimsnes, leader of Caritas Bergen, will give a talk, in Norwegian, entitled \u201cThe needs under our noses\u201d. He will tell about Caritas Bergen&#8217;s charitable work in Bergen.<\/p>\n<p>Next Sunday 22<sup>nd<\/sup> January is the Feast of St. Paul&#8217;s Conversion. After high mass there will be a parish party in the school gym hall with entertainment, a raffle &amp; food from around the world.<\/p>\n<p>In connection with ecumenical prayer week there will be an ecumenical service at Marias Minde on 26<sup>th<\/sup> January at 7.30 pm. All are welcome.<\/p>\n<p>Candlemass, the Feast of Christ&#8217;s presentation in the Temple, will be celebrated during mass at 7 pm on 2<sup>nd<\/sup> February. It is ordination day in our diocese\u00a0 when we pray especially for religious ordinations. Mass starts with blessing of the candles to be used in the church during to coming year &amp; a procession of light.<\/p>\n<p>Lent starts on 1<sup>st<\/sup> March. There will be a parish Lenten retreat from 10<sup>th<\/sup> to 12<sup>th<\/sup> March led by Father P\u00e5l Bratbak, parish priest of St. Olav&#8217;s cathedral. Everyone is welcome to take part in the whole, or parts of, the retreat.<\/p>\n<p>It is still possible to book a place on the pilgrimage to Avila &amp; Fatima from 13<sup>th<\/sup> to 19th October 2017.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Katolsk Forum&#8217;s next meeting will be this Tuesday 17th January.
