This autumn St. Johannes Catholic Bible school opens at Marias Minne in Sandviken. The school offers basic training in children &\u00a0youth\u00a0catechesis or in parish administration and finance. For more information contact project leader Peder Solberg.<\/p>\n
In connection with ecumenical prayer week there will be an ecumenical service in Biskopshavn church on 26th<\/sup> January at 7.30 pm.\u00a0 Everyone is welcome.<\/p>\n Bergen Young Catholic’s first meeting will be at 7.30 pm on Thursday 25th<\/sup> January in Birgittakjellenen.<\/p>\n Friday 26th<\/sup> January is the feast of St Eystein. During evening mass there will be prayers for vocations to the priesthood & especially for students of St Eystein seminar in Oslo, among them Trym Andr\u00e9 Hellevig from our parish.<\/p>\n After evening mass on Saturday 27th<\/sup> January there will be Eucharistic adoration. The\u00a0Mother Theresa sisters & Fides student group will be leading us in worship.<\/p>\n Friday 2nd February we will be celebrating Candlemas day, the feast of Christ’s presentation in the Temple, at the 7 pm. mass. It is also ordination day in our diocese when we pray especially for vocations. Mass starts with blessing of the candles to be used during the year followed by a procession of light. After mass there\u00a0 will be Balsius blessing of throats.<\/p>\n A new marriage course will begin on 12th<\/sup> February in the staff room at St. Paul school & will go over the next 5 Mondays. Anyone wanting\u00a0to marry in the Catholic Church\u00a0must complete one of these courses.
