Sylfest Lomheim, professor of languages at the University of Agder &amp; former director of the\u00a0 Language Council of Norway will give a talk entitled \u201cBiblical language in our everyday language\u201d. Everyone is welcome.<\/p>\n<p>Bergen young Catholics (BUK) invites anyone interested to join us for mass &amp; bowling on Thursday 22<sup>nd<\/sup> February at 6 pm. Meet at the front of the church.<\/p>\n<p>Father Rory Mulligan will be holding a Lenten retreat at Marias Minde from 8<sup>th<\/sup> to 11<sup>th<\/sup> March. The subject is \u201cMary, a model for us disciples\u201d.\u00a0 Enrollment by 1<sup>st<\/sup> March online at <a href=\"mailto:bergen@katolske.no\">bergen@katolske.no<\/a> or at the parish office. More information on the notice board at the back of the church.<\/p>\n<p>In connection with this Lenten retreat, &amp; at the suggestion of Pope Francis in his Lenten message, there will be a 24 hour prayer vigil at Marias Minde on 9<sup>th<\/sup> &amp; 10<sup>th<\/sup> March. It begins with mass at 9 am on 9<sup>th<\/sup> March followed by Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament &amp; prayers. It will also be possible to go to confession. The church at Marias Minde will be open all day &amp; accessible at night. A detailed program will be available later.<\/p>\n<p>The Foster\u00a0Care Service of the Norwegian Child Welfare Services, in collaboration with St Paul parish, is holding an information meeting for adults who might be interested to hear more about being a foster home, family home or an emergency home. The meeting will be in the staff room of St. Paul primary school on Thursday 15<sup>th<\/sup> March from 6.30\u00a0 to 8.30 pm. There\u00a0is no obligation for\u00a0attending the meeting.
