– Katolsk Forum kicks off the spring semester with a lecture by professor Sverre Bagge about Saint Olav. The talk takes place in the teachers workroom at St. Paul\u2019s school on January 20 at 7:45 p.m. The cost is 30 kroner.<\/p>\n
– There will be an ecumenical worship service at Marias Minde on Thursday Jan. 22 at 7 p.m. St. Paul and Biskopshavn parishes are sponsoring the event. After the service there will be a coffee hour in the refectory. Welcome!<\/p>\n
– Saturday Jan. 24 at 4:30 p.m. there will be a concert in the church with the St. Paul Choir, accompanied by a string orchestra, and with Roystan James as soloist. They will be performing “Visst skal v\u00e5ren komme” by\u00a0Eivind Skeie and\u00a0Sigvald Tveit<\/p>\n
\u2013 A reminder that\u00a0on Sunday Jan. 25 we celebrate the feast of\u00a0the conversion of St. Paul. After the mass there will be a festival for the whole parish in the school gymnasium, with food and entertainment. All are warmly welcomed.<\/p>\n
\u2013\u00a0Monday Feb. 2 is the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord in the Temple, also known as\u00a0Candlemas day, or the Feast of the Purification of the Virgin. This day is celebrated in\u00a0our diocese as a day for religious orders, when we pray especially for vocations to religious orders and to the priesthood. There will be Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in the church from 4:30 until 6:30 p.m. \u00a0In the mass there will be a blessing of the candles used in the church throughout the year, and also a procession of lights.
