Catechisis for children of all ages is starting up around this time. Courses in the Good Shepherd Catechisis for adults starts Sept. 10th. See the parish website for more information.

The student group Fides has started up, with meetings in the Birgittakjeller every Sunday after the English mass at 6 p.m.

The Florida Student Home has reopened this fall. It has undergone a thorough refurbishing and is ready to welcome new students who want to live in community. There are vacant studio apartments for reasonable prices. See the notice at the back of the church.

Retirees in the parish invite everyone to mass on Mondays at 11.00 a.m., followed by church-coffee in the Birgittakjeller.

The Sisters of Charity invite everyone to an evening of remembrance, Thursday Sept. 5th, on the occasion of the feastday for St. Mother Teresa. There will be adoration of the blessed sacrament at 6 p.m., and after the mass a gathering in the crypt. See the notice on the bulletin board.

There will be a pilgrimage to the Holy Cross Church in Fana, Saturday Sept. 14th. Procession from Stend station at 3:20 and mass in Fana church at 4.00 p.m. See the notice on the bulletin board.

In preparation for the pilgrimage, on Thursday Sept. 12 the Catholic Forum will be hosting a lecture (in Norwegian) by archaeologist Alf Tore Hommedal, entitled: The Holy Cross Church and Hospital in Fana. The lecture will take place in the school teachers workroom, at 7:45 p.m. Entrance kr. 30.
