Sunday 2nd February we will be celebrating Candlemass day, the feast of Christ’s presentation in the Temple. It is also ordination day in our diocese when we pray especially of ordinations. Before high mass at 11 am candles to be used in the church during the year will be blessed followed by a procession of light. After mass there will be Blasius blessing of throats.
The first Danbolt organ concert will be on Tuesday 4th February at 12 noon. There will be an introduction by Professor Gunnar Danbolt then Amund Dahlen will play music by Couperin.
A new marriage course will begin at 6.30 pm on Monday 2th March in the staff room at St. Paul school. Anyone wanting to be married in the Catholic church must complete one of these courses. See the poster on the notice board outside the church. The next course will be in November 2020.
