The national guidelines still limit the number of people at mass to 10 in both St. Paul church & Marias Minde.  As long as the authorities continue with this number, we will try to celebrate mass outside in the school playground.  For information check the parish website.  Electronic registration is still necessary at

Anyone wanting a Catholic marriage must complete a marriage preparation course. The spring course is postponed until after Easter. It is planned to start on Monday April 12th and finish on Monday May 10th,but the dates may have to be changed. Check the parish website and the announcements. Enrolment is at the parish office, tel: 55215950 or to one of the priests.

The closing date for applications to enter St. Eystein seminary next year is January 31st. Applications can be sent to the principal, father Tao Nguyen. A brochure is available at the parish office.

Tuesday 2nd February is Candlemas, the feast of Christ’s presentation in the Temple. Mass will be celebrated outdoors with room for 100 people. This is also World Day for Consecrated Life, when we pray especially for new vocations. Before the 7 pm mass, the candles to be used in church during the coming year will be blessed.  This will be followed by a procession of light. After mass there will be Blasius blessing of throats.
