Monday 7th October we celebrate Mary of the Rosary. It is also the founding day of the “Missionaries of Charity”. The Mother Teresa sisters invite everyone to prayers starting after the 11am mass & finishing just before evening mass. Every hour the Rosary will be prayed in a different language.
Sunday 13th October is Fatima day. Everyone is invited to a gathering in the school staff room directly after high mass to talk about the parish pilgrimages to Fatima last year & Poland this year. There will be photos & talk about experiences. MAHD group will provide some light refreshments.
Wednesday 16th October we celebrate the memorial of the baptism of St. Olav. We also celebrate that it is 1000 years since St. Olav brought Christianity to Norway. There will be high mass at 7 pm followed by a gathering in the crypt, with refreshments. All are welcome.
Sunday 27th October there will be Portuguese mass at Marias Minde at 3pm followed by church coffee. Before mass (2pm) there will be confessions in Portuguese in the chapel.
Anyone wanting to be married in the Catholic church must complete a preparation course. This autumn’s marriage course starts on Monday 21st October from 6 to 8 pm in the school staff room & will continue the following 4 Mondays. Enrolment at the parish office or to one of the priests.
The parish office will be closed on Monday 7th & Tuesday 8th October.
The closing date for applicants to St Paul school, both 1st & 8th class, is 15th November.
