Celebration of the anointing of the sick; Monday 7th April anyone who is sick & everyone over 60 are invited to mass at 11 am & to be anointed. It will be possible to go to confession 1 hour before & after mass there will be church coffee in the crypt.
This coming Thursday 10th April everyone is welcome to take part in a bible meeting when we will together read chapter 3 for Luke’s gospel & afterwards discuss & reflect on it. Meet in the school staff room after evening mass, approx. 7.40 pm.
There will be the usual extreme stations of the cross on Friday before Palm Sunday,11th April. The walk starts after the 7 pm mass. The route is 34 km long & starts & ends at St. Pal church. See the notice board.
The Polish group is again making beautifully colourful palms for Palm Sunday. These will be sold before masses on Palm Sunday & the money raised will go to the catholic parish “Christ crucified” in Santiago de Cuba.
Thank you to everyone in the parish for their generous donations recently. The collection in connection with the consecration of Bishop Fredrik was 23,260. Bishop Bernt wants last Sunday’s collection to go to Caritas for their work in Myanmar & Thailand after the big earthquake. Here the collection was 24,886.
Thursday 10th April there will be an extended Parish council meeting in the school staff room at 5 pm.
Caritas Bergen invites all members of the parish to our annual general meeting on 29th April. The meeting will take place in the crypt under the church starting at 7.30 p.m., immediately following the evening mass. Caritas Bergen is St. Paul parish’s deaconal organization, providing help to excluded and marginalized persons in Bergen. Alle members of St. Paul parish age 18 and above can participate in the annual meeting with voice and vote.
