A big thank you to everyone who helped with masses both at Korskirken & here in the church during redecoration. Your efforts have been a great help. From this weekend we are back in St. Paul church with the ordinary timetable of weekday & Sunday masses.
The redecoration has cost over 3 million kroner which we have to pay ourselves. Lots of people have given money & we will be pleased to receive more donations.
So that the church will stay nice & clean as long as possible the candles at the statue of Mary must only be lit one at a time. You must not light several together & put them in the sand as this produces a lot of soot which dirties the church.
The Bible group meets after evening mass, approx. 7.40 pm, on Thursday 19th March to read chapter 14 in Luke’s gospel. New members are very welcome.
Bishop Fredrik invites women aged 18 to 35 to a vocation gathering in Oslo on Saturday 28th March, from 11 am to 2 pm. See the notice board. Enrolment to okb@katolsk.no
Saturday 28th March confessions will be heard in St. Paul church from 4.30 to 6 pm.
Caritas’ Lenten campaign is underway. At the back of the church there are small Lenten boxes to take home & collect money in. The money will go to help people in need because of poverty, hunger or exclusion.
26th April to 1st May there will be a course for adults on the Good Shepherd catechism for children aged 0-3 years, led by Rebekah Rojcwich from the U.S. She is one of the people with the most experience of using the Good Shepherd catechism. See the notice board for more information & enrolment.
In connection with the church’s jubilee there will be a new jubilee book about the parish. Would you like your name in the on the list of congratulations in the book? If you Vipps at least 400kr towards the book’s production, you will later receive a copy of the book signed by the parish priest.
