In order to help those who are suffering from the war in the Ukraine, St. Paul parish will donate this weeks offering to Caritas, who will send the funds on to Caritas in Poland and Ukraine. They are already in place on both sides of the border and need funds in order to continue to help the refugees. Gifts either in cash in the collection baskets or by vipps can be accepted. You can also vipps directly to Caritas, or bring the donation to the parish office. All gifts will be totaled up and sent on to Caritas.
After a long break due to Covid-19, Katolsk Forum will be starting up again on Tuesday, Mar. 15, with a lecture by professor Gjert Vestrheim. The title is: “Happy Andalusia? Religious co-existence in medieval Spain”. The lecture takes place in the school staff room at 7:45 p.m. Entrance kr. 30. All are welcome!
There will be a Lenten retreat for St. Paul parish Mar. 25-27, with Fr. Oddvar Moi, hospital chaplain and chaplain of Oslo diocese, and since 2020 leader for the Catechetical Center for Oslo diocese. The topic of the retreat is: Striving towards the goal. See the program on the bulletin board and the parish website.
Anyone who wants to be married in the Catholic Church must participate in a marriage preparation course. The Spring course starts Monday March 7th, 6-8 p.m. in the parish conference room, and will go for 5 Mondays. Registration in the parish office or to one of the priests.
We will be starting up “Good Shepherd”-meetings for parents with babies, on Wednesdays at 10 a.m. in the atrium in Nylandsveien 26b. The first meeting is Wednesday March 9th. Registration is required.
