St. Paul parish is looking for a parish secretary in an 80% position, to start as soon as possible & Jan. 3rd at the latest. We are looking for an industrious, service minded, proactive & helpfull person who can carry out a combination of administrative work, work the switch board, receptionist & other work related to the parish office in a busy working day. The applicant must be able to use digital work tools & be able to speak & write fluent Norwegian. Competence is other languages is an advantage. The applicant must also have a good knowledge of the Church’s beliefs, life & ways of working & be able to work in a multicultural environment. Bergen Young Catholics is having a meeting for young people from 8th class to 3. videregående in the crypt at 5 pm on Thursday, 30th November.
St.Paul parish invites everyone to Eucharistic Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament starting after evening mass on Thursday 30th November & ending at midnight.
Saturday 2nd December there will be a gathering for alter servers, & their annual general meeting, in the crypt at 3 pm.
On the same day all parishoners are welcome to “first Saturday devotions” in the church at 4.30 pm.
Sunday 3rd December there will be family mass at 1 pm followed by church coffee. Bring a food item. The subject of the gathering afterwards, for adults & school children, is “Living a Catholic family life”.
Next Sunday 3rd December is the 1st Sunday in Advent & we start a new year of readings. Sunday masses will be year B & weekday masses year 2.
On the 2nd Sunday of Advent, St Paul parish, with Dom Gregor, is responsible for devotions & lighting the Advent light at Fløyen at 1.15 pm. Please remember the date.
