Wednesday 14th February is Ash Wednesday. There will be mass at Marias Minde at 9am & in St. Paul; Philippine mass at 4.30pm, Polish mass at 5.30 pm & Norwegian high mass at 7pm. Those want to can bring last year’s palms to the parish office before 13th February. They will be burnt & the ashes used for ash crosses.
Friday 16th February there will be an information meeting about the consecration of Jesus via the Virgin Mary at 5.30pm in the staff room of St Paul school. See the notice.
The bishop will be visiting our parish at the end of March & we would like to make the parish presentable & clear all the rooms. The parish council is therefore holding a work party (“dugnad”) on Saturday 17th February from 9.30 am to 5 pm. All the groups who use the rooms must take part in this dugnad. Other members of the parish are also welcome to come & help.
Senior Catholics are invited to meet in Birgittakjelleren at 12 noon on Mondays during Lent. There will be tea, coffee, chatter & singing. The 1st meeting will be 19th February.
Anyone wanting to be married in the Catholic church must complete a preparation course. This Spring’s marriage course starts on Monday 19th February from 6 to 8 pm in the parish conference room & will continue the following 4 Mondays. Enrolment at the parish office or to one of the priests.
Monday to Wednesday in the school winter holiday the parish will be having an “ at home camp” for young people aged 9-19 in St. Paul school from 10am to 4 pm. See the notice for enrolment to the catechism coordinator Rediun Jofrid Kleppestrand.
