The marriage course for spring 2016 begins on Thursday 11th February & goes over 5 Thursdays. Anyone getting married in the Catholic church must attend a marriage course so all those intending to get married in spring & summer 2016 must take this course. Enrollment at the parish office.
The Parish party will take place next Sunday, 24th January. We begin by celebrating The Conversion of St.Paul & after high mass the whole parish is invited to a party in the gym hall of St. Paul school. There will be food & entertainment. Everyone is very welcome.
The next Katolsk Forum will be on Tuesday 19th January at 7.45 pm in the staff room of St.Paul school. The speaker is Ingrid Rosendorf Joys who is Public Relations Officer in Oslo Catholic Diocese & leader of the Council for Faith & Spirituality. Her talk, in Norwegian, is entitled « Pope Francis- a Pope in the nick of time? Laudato Si- a challenge to us all».
Tuesday 2nd February is the Feast of Christ’s presentation in the temple, also known as Candle mass. In our diocese it is «Ordination day» when we pray specially for calls to the priesthood & religious life. During mass the candles to be used in the church throughout the year will be blessed & there will be a procession of light. After mass there will be a chance to receive the Blasius blessing.
