The youth group BUK – Bergens Unge Katolikker, has started up again. There will be a get-acquainted meeting Thursday Sept. 12, at 5 p.m. in the crypt.
There will be a pilgrimage to the Holy Cross Church in Fana, Saturday Sept. 14th, on the memorial day for the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. You can choose whether to walk from St. Paul church at 10:45 a.m. or bike at 2:00 pm., take the light rail or bus to Lagunen, or go by car all the way to Fana church. There will be a flag-parade from Lagunen (behind the Skeidar store) at 2:15 p.m., a procession from Stend station at 3:20 and mass in Fana church at 4.00 p.m. See the notice on the bulletin board or the parish website. We urge everyone to participate!
In preparation for the pilgrimage, on Thursday Sept. 12 the Catholic Forum will be hosting a lecture (in Norwegian) by archaeologist Alf Tore Hommedal, entitled: The Holy Cross Church and Hospital in Fana. The lecture will take place in the school teachers workroom, at 7:45 p.m. Entrance kr. 30.
This fall’s marriage preparation course begins Monday Oct. 28th at 6:30 p.m. in the school teachers’ workroom. Anyone wanting to be married in the Catholic Church must participate in this kind of course. Registration in the parish office, tel. 55 21 59 50.
