Last Sunday there was a count of the number of people attending mass. There were 2188 people attending the 18 Sunday masses, including those in Sogn & Fjordane.
This autumn’s marriage course begins on Monday 28th October at 6.30 pm in the school staff room. Anyone wanting to have a catholic marriage must complete one of these courses. Enrolment at the parish office, tel: 55 21 59 50.
Caritas Norge has been allocated “ Opersjon Dagswork” (OD). Our bishop invites everyone to employ a young person for kr.400 on OD day 31st October. The local co-ordinator is Dom Lukas of St. Paul gymnas. His tel. no: 97605327.
All Saints day will be celebrated at all mass on Sunday 3rd November & on 1st November at the 7pm evening mass & at mass at Marias Minde at 9 am .
Saturday 2nd November is All Souls day when the church prays for those who have died. There will be a visit to Møllendal cemetery. Meet at the cemetery chapel at 2pm. From there there will be a procession to the graves of priests, nuns & other who have died. There will be a Latin Requiem mass in St. Paul church at 6 pm when St. Paul choir will sing Durufle’s Requiem. Polish mass & rosary will be at 4pm & mass at Marias Minde at 10am. Mass stipends should be put in an envelope with the name of the deceased to be prayed for & a donation. These envelopes are available at the back of the church & can be handed in to the parish office or to a priest in the sacristy.
The closing date for enrolment to St. Paul school for 1st & 8th class is November 15th.
