Katolsk forum begins again on Tuesday 21th January at 7.45 pm in the school staff room. Archeologist Alf Tore Hommedal’s talk, in Norwegian, is entitled “ A visit to the Middle Age monasteries in Bergen” & is the parish’s contribution to Bergen’s 950 year jubilee this year. Entrance is kr.30.
The high school group Bergen young Catholics starts up again on Thursday 23rd January at 5 pm. David Ottesen will lead prayers, to be followed by a Game Show, food & finally mass.
Also on 23rd January there will be an ecumenical service at 7.30 pm in Bishopshavn church. Our parish priest will taken part & give a sermon.
Sunday 26th January we celebrate the conversion of St. Paul, patron saint of our parish. The celebration begins with high mass at 11 am & continues afterwards in the school gym hall with entertainment, raffles & food from around the world.
The parish is arranging a children’s weekend for children in 4th to 7th class from 14th to 16th February. Brochures are available at the back of the church.
Thank you for all the money raised at the Christmas market & during all masses at Christmas. The Christmas market alone took in 27,0000 kr.
Norges Unge Katolikker (NUK) would also like to say thank you for the 14,000 kr. collected during their Advent campaign.
