Lent begins with Ash Wednesday 26th February. Masses that day are: in Filipino at 5pm, Polish at 6 pm & Norwegian at 7 pm.
During Lent there will be Stations of the Cross on Fridays at 6.30 pm, except when there in a Polish mass when they will be in Polish after mass, at approx. 7.30 pm.
Last years palm branches can be handed in to the sacristy until Tuesday 25th February. They will be burnt & the ash used for the Lenten crosses.
The parish office is closed next week, week 9.
The Mother Teresa sisters & the Legion of Mary are having a catechism weekend for adults from 28th February to 1st March in St Paul school. Child care facilities will be available. See the notice board at the back of the church.
A new marriage course will begin at 6.30 pm on Monday 2th March in the staff room at St. Paul school. Anyone wanting a catholic marriage must complete one of these courses. See the poster on the notice board outside the church. The next course will be in November 2020.
Father Joël Regnard OSCA from Munkeby abbey is holding a Lenten retreat in St. Paul school from 13th to 15th March. The theme is “ Lent- a time of change with the Holy Spirit”. Everyone is welcome. See the program on the notice board.
March 5th is the deadline for applying to St. Eystien’s seminary in Oslo. Catholic young men who have graduated from high school can apply. They will needs 2 catholic priests as references.
