Some changes have been made to the parish Vipps-function: Now when you pay by Vipps, you can choose between three categories: offering/gift, church coffee, and purchase of books and candles. This will help us to better keep track of the parish finances.
Sometime around the beginning of May we will also activate the tax deduction services in Vipps: If you want your gift to be registered, you must first give the parish permission to retrieve your name and personal id number. You only need to do this once, and after that all gifts and offerings will be registered automatically. See the separate notice on the parish website for more information and a detailed instructions.
Monday Apr 29th St. Paul Senior Catholics will be meeting in Birgittakjelleren after the 11-o’clock mass for tea, coffee, conversation and singing.
We need more catechists for the childrens and confirmation programs. There will be a training in the Good Shepherd Catechesis. Registration deadline is May 1st. Contact Reidun Jofrid Kleppestrand for more information (tlf. 408 85 489).
On May 1st there will be a Marian prosession from Marias Minde to St. Paul church. Meet up at Marias Minda at 2.30 p.m. We will celebrate mass in English at 5 p.m. in St. Paul church, with church coffee in the crypt afterwards. The Legion of Mary will provide food, but feel free to bring some food to share if you’d like.
Thursday May 2nd at 6.30 p.m. will be the first vesper with prayer for vocations. After the 7- o’clock evening mass there will be adoration of the Blessed Sacrament of the Sacred Heart of Jesus until midnight, with a closing blessing.
Nest Sunday, May 4th and 5th there will be confirmation masses at 10.30 a.m. and 1 p.m. with reserved seating for the confirmants’ families. There will not be any high mass at 11 o’clock. Anyone who usually attends the high mass and is not participating in one of the confirmation masses is encouraged to attend one of the other Sunday masses instead.
