It is becoming increasingly difficult and expensive for the parish to transport money from the collection to the bank, especially coins. Starting next Sunday it will be possible to give your offerings by using the bank terminal which will be located at the back of the church. The church stewards will be there to help you use it.
On Saturday, April 23rd at 4 p.m. there will be an organ concert in St. Paul Church with organ students from the Organ Club Ferdinand, as well as performances by the club’s organ teacher Mariko Takei.
Icons, cards, and a variety of gift items for first communion, confirmation etc. can be purchased at the Lay Franciscan book stand in the crypt, which is open during church coffee every Sunday immediately following the 11 o’clock high mass. There is also a selection of gift items in the parish office.
This coming Tuesday April 26th there will be a special program in the Catholic Forum lecture series. Our guest is Wolfgang Plagge, organist and cantor in Asker and Bærum Catholic Church in Stabekk. He is also a composer and has several contributions in the Catholic Hymnal “Lov Herren”. We have invited him to play the organ in the evening mass at 7:00 p.m., after which, strating at 7:45 p.m. he will give a talk (in Norwegian) in the teachers workroom in St. Paul school, on the topic: “What is a hymn?”
