The collection on the Feast of the Epiphany, 6th January, came to a total of kr 17,254. The funds have been transferred to Missio Norge.
In connection with the ecumenical week for Christian unity there will be an ecumenical evening service at Marias Minde at 7.30 pm on Thursday
January 24th. Afterwards everyone is invited to coffee & food in the nuns refectory.
Sunday January 27th we celebrate the conversion of St. Paul, the patron saint of our parish. The celebration begins with the high mass at 11 am. and continues after church in the school gymnasium with entertainment, a raffle and food from around the world.
Saturday 2nd February is Candlemas day when we celebrate Christ’s presentation in the Temple. The occasion will be celebrated with mass at 6 pm. It is also ordination day in our diocese when we pray especially of new vocations. Mass starts with a blessing of the candles to be used during the coming year, followed by a procession of light. After mass there will be Balsius blessing of throats.
A new Marriage Preparation Course will begin on Monday 4th March at 6.30 pm in the school staff room. See the poster on the notice board outside the church. Anyone wishing to have a Catholic marriage must complete one of these courses. The next course will be in November 2019.
