Katolsk Forum’s next meeting is on Tuesday 18th February at 7:45 pm in the school staff room. Maria Elizabeth Fongen, adviser to the Oslo Catholic Diocese Pastoral Centre, will give a talk, in Norwegian, entitled “Changes to the biotechnology law of 2019: A look at the statements of the pastoral centre & others. We encourage everyone in the parish to take part in the Lenten pilgrimages to monasteries and hospitals from the Middle ages. There will be a procession from St. Paul church on Thursdays at 5.30 pm. beginning on 27th February. Join us and pray for our town.
The Mother Teresa sisters and the Legion of Mary are having a catechism weekend for adults from 28th February to 1st March in St Paul school. Child care facilities will be available. See the notice board at the back of the church.
A new marriage course will begin at 6.30 pm on Monday 2th March in the staff room at St. Paul school. Anyone wanting to be married in the Catholic church must complete one of these courses. See the poster on the notice board outside the church. The next course will be in November 2020.
NUK is organizing an Easter camp at Mariaholm for young people from confirmation age & up. We encourage young people to take part, and hope that their parents will support them. See the poster outside the church.
March 5th is the deadline for applying to St. Eystein’s Seminary in Oslo. Catholic young men who have graduated from high school can apply. They will need two Catholic priests as references. An application letter along with a confirmation certificate and high-school transcripts, plus any other relevant education can be sent to the principle of the seminary, father Bharath Villavarayen, electronically or by post to Oslo Katolske Bispedømme, Akersveien 5,0117 Oslo.
