The national rules for disease control still apply. Because of the 1 metre rule, the limit is 90 people at mass in St. Paul church & 35 at Marias Minde. It is still necessary to enrol beforehand electronically on the parish website.
The gospel interpretation for children during high mass started again today, 30th August.
This year’s marriage course begins on 19th October at 6.30 pm in the school staff room. Anyone wanting a Catholic marriage must attend one of these courses. Enrolment at the parish office, tel. 55 21 59 50.
This year is the 850th anniversary of the transfer of the relics of St. Sunniva from Selja to Bergen. “Translation day” will be celebrated with high mass in St Paul church at 11 am. on Monday 7th September. This is part of the Sunniva festival from 4th to 9th September when there will be several Catholic events. For more information see the parish website & the brochures at the back of the church.
There will be a pilgrimage to the Holy Cross church in Fana on Saturday 12th September. You can take part from St. Paul church at 11 am or from Lagunen at 2.15 pm. The procession goes from Stend station at 3.20 pm & is followed by mass in Fana church at 4 pm. See the parish website & the notice board.
