Thursday 2nd February there will be evening prayers (vespers) in the church at 6.30 pm with prayers for vocations.
Thursday 2nd February is Candlemass day, the feast of Christ’s presentation in the Temple. It is also ordination day in our diocese when we pray especially for ordinations. Before the 7 pm mass the candles to be used in the church during the coming year will be blessed followed by a procession of light. After mass there will be Blasius blessing of throats.
St. Paul parish is arranging Adoration of the Sacred Heart of Jesus on the night between Thursday 2nd & Friday 3rd February, starting after evening mass. For more information contact the Mother Teresa sisters at tel. 55215970.
Katolsk Forum’s next meeting is on Thursday 9th February at 7.45 pm in the school staff room. Sister Ragnhild Bjelland from Sankta Katarina convent in Oslo will talk on the theme “Liturgical music: songs of the heart”. Entrance kr 30. Everyone is welcome.
