The marriage preparation course for Spring 2016 begins on Thursday 11th February & goes over 5 Thursdays. Anyone getting married in the Catholic church must attend a marriage course, so all those intending to get married in spring & summer 2016 must take this course. Enrollment at the parish office.
Tuesday 2nd February is the Feast of Christ’s presentation in the temple, also known as Candle mass. During mass at 7 pm. the candles to be used in the church throughout the year will be blessed & there will be a procession of light in the church. After mass there will be a chance to receive the Blasius blessing.
2nd February is «Ordination day « in our diocese when we pray especially for calls to the priesthood & religious life. The Holy Sacrament will be displayed & prayers will be said in the Mother Teresa sister’s chapel in the presbytery from 7.30 am to 6 pm.
The weekend of 6th -7th February our bishop will visit St.Paul’s parish. There will be a Pontifical mass at 11 am on Sunday the 7th & the inauguration of Erik Andreas Holth as chaplain in our parish. After mass it will be possible to meet the bishop during church coffee in the school gym hall.
